General Description:
The horizontal coordinates were established by GPS observations and adjusted by the Ne. Natural Resources Comm., from 1 ST order NGS station ( MILLAPORT ) located at the Millard Airport in Omaha, Ne. The elevation was established by GPS observations, from 2 ND order NGS station ( B 301 ) DESCRIPTION: NEBRASKA NATURAL RESOURCES COMMISSION SEPTEMBER 1997 To reach the station from Venice, Ne. go East along State Highway # 92 to its intersection with a paved county road North and South. Turn right and go South and Southeast for 2.5 miles to a graveled county road to the South. Turn right and travel South for 3.7 miles along a county road that is between the Platte and Elkhorn Rivers. The station is located on the East side of a graveled road at a dead end intersection. / 50.0 Ft. North from the Northwest railroad tie fence corner post. / 3.0 Ft. West from the fence line. / 144.0 Ft. North-Northeast from a DEAD END sign post. The station is a 2 inch dia. aluminum NNRC cap set on top of a 1/2 inch by 5.0 Ft. steel rebar and driven to a depth of 0.3 Ft. below the surface of the ground and stamped ( 59-2 )
