THE ELEVATION WAS ESTABLISHED IN MAY 1993 BY NGS DESCRIPTION: THE STATION IS LOCATED ABOUT 2 AND 1/2 MILES SOUTHWEST OF THE TOWN OF SUTTON IN A TRIANGLE FORMED BY THE U.S. HIGHWAY # 6 AND A DIRT CROSSROAD, 127 FT. WEST OF THE CENTER OF A NORTH-SOUTH GRAVEL ROAD, 54 FT. SOUTH OF THE CENTER OF HWY. # 6, 43 FT. WEST OF A TREE 34 FT. EAST OF A TREE, 32 FT. NORTH OF THE CENTER OF A DIRT ROAD, AND 1 FOOT EAST OF A NEW STEEL WITNESS POST. THE MARK IS 6 INCHES BELOW THE SURFACE OF THE GROUND AND THE DISK IS STAMPED SUTTON 1950. REFERENCE MARK NO. 1 IS 101.99 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE STATION, 34 FT. SOUTH OF THE CENTER OF A DIRT ROAD, 23 FT. WEST OF A FENCE CORNER, AND 1 FT. NORTH OF A FENCE.
